Our Exciting Opportunity

PDU Cloud RAN is owning the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering. This PDU contains in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks and capability to contribute to open source communities.

 

To set ourselves up for greatness we count on our technical staff to truly embody our business area’s three C’s, Customer Focus, Collaboration, and Can-do, to drive the realisation of the Ericsson Cloud RAN portfolio.

 

In this role, you will be part of an engineering team with full ownership of a key aspect of our product.

 

You will:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
  • Support team priorities, and deliverables
  • Focus on product quality and user experience
  • Work with architects on the development and evolution of technical solutions

 

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Experience in the development and testing of enterprise-scale microservices-based products
  • Understanding of API lifecycle
  • Knowledge and evidence of practical application of the best coding/design practices and patterns
  • Experience of Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platform
  • Experience in Linux or Unix
  • Engineering and technical leadership capabilities to help your team both deliver on short-term commitments and to evolve our solutions into the future
  • Have the technical and human proficiencies needed to help craft our vision for a truly Cloud-Native RAN solution
  • Be just as comfortable whiteboarding technical solutions with engineering teams as you are communicating those solutions to management and customers alike
  • Desire to work in a diverse team-based organization
  • Qualifications in relevant engineering or software field
  • Have 5+ years’ experience developing large scale products
  • Be a confirmed technical leader with a can-do attitude to make things happen
  • Demonstrate experience in achieving customer delivery timelines in application development and helping others to deliver on their accountabilities. All while balancing cost, time to market, and quality
  • Thrive when you get to engage with customers, external partners, within Ericsson and outside to strengthen alliances
