We are currently taking the next step in our technology prime drive within Ericsson, looking into the Cloud RAN (Radio Access Network) architecture that is coming fully during 2022, and we Ericsson is the early leader in bringing it to the market. This is the next step after 5G where we already have 100 signed 5G contracts, there has never been a better time for you to make your mark. The possibilities are endless across industries and from automotive and transport to agriculture, utilities, and more.

 

In this role you will be part of an engineering team with full ownership of a key aspect of our product.

 

Your role

 

You will work in Hyperscale development team for Cloud RAN and ensure Network Automation solutions are flexible across cloud deployments, including (but not exclusively) Carrier, Enterprise & Hyperscale to

  • Ensure that Ericsson offers an outstanding, leading-edge cloud-native network automation solution, aligning with Business Area Digital Services in terms of enabler platforms
  • Ensure that this solution be adaptable to a variety of different deployment models, including carrier-edge platforms, enterprise-edge platforms, and Hyperscalers and collaborating with Product Line regarding product/solution evolution and feature roadmap
  • Embrace microservice cloud-native paradigms and continuous integration / continuous deployment models to realize the full potential of cloud native solutions


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Coding experience in Go and/or Python, and experience with cloud hosted services
  • 5 Have cloud deployment technical knowledge; to both lead the domain but also to build trust to drive it in a good direction
  • 3 years experience with software design and architecture


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in a architectural role leading project teams and setting technical direction
  • Experience with microservices on Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of application development in Unix/Linux environments and distributed systems
