Cloud technology offers new innovative alternatives for Radio Access Network (RAN) deployments. In Cloud RAN, we own the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native RAN, an innovative product offering flexibility in architecting, scaling, and deploying telecom networks. The Cloud RAN product development organization contains total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks and capability to contribute to open-source communities.

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Network Automation team in Athlone and take ownership of a key aspect of our product.

You will also get to work with the latest new technologies from 5G and Public & Private Clouds to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence!

About the job

We build products that help create business opportunities for Ericsson. As a Project Manager, you’ll lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary team working with stakeholders to plan requirements, lead project schedules, identify risks, and work with cross-functional partners across Cloud RAN and beyond. It's your job to coordinate the programs and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will inform decision-making for Cloud RAN . You will do this by working closely with Software Developers, Site Reliability Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to develop proofs of products and solutions.

Responsibilities

As a technical project manager, you will:

  • Maintain analytics to understand obscured problems, propose data-driven solutions, support proposed solutions, and own and lead the execution.
  • Deliver benefits for approved user journeys through excellence in project management across relevant teams
  • Inform roadmap and requirements for the Network Automation teams by crafting a future roadmap for programs around programs like efficiency, long term planning, including building the vital key performance indicators to track, lead, and report status and progress.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institute in Engineering or similar subject area or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated ability in capacity planning and management with Cloud exposure an advantage
  • Experience with leading end-to-end project life cycle

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with quantitative assessment and analysis across multiple technical subject areas
  • Experience to understand how technology changes influence our ability to grow
  • Ability to use project management techniques to drive development tasks to completion
  • Ability to dive into a sophisticated data set, find the hidden truth, and turn it into a plan of action
