BSS Billing Solution Architect

About this opportunity:

In MELA Digital Services, Customer Unit South East Mediterranean (SEM), Digital Services BSS Greece we are looking for a Solution Architect or Consultant to participate in BSS offer preparations and projects and to analyze, prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of a BSS solution (mainly Ericsson Billing/BSCS but also Ericsson OrderCare/Catalog, Mediation or Charging Systems as well as large-scale IT BSS Transformation projects).

The role is part of customer team and work in customer premises or remotely for the customer wherever possible.

What you will do:

  • Presales and Analysis: Responsible for analyzing, designing & developing commercially viable end-to-end technical IT BSS solutions for the customers. Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations. Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer build.

  • Integration: Configuration and integration of Ericsson’s BSCS Billing solution (work with the customer on-site or from the back-office as a member of the implementation team)

  • Development: Design, develop adapters and interfaces on the Ericsson Billing (EB) APIs and tools. Participation on business configuration in accordance to customer's service contract.

  • Support: Assist the local support team on investigating technical problems on BSCS Billing, troubleshoot systems that are in operation and if requested, participate in the remedy of systems in case of critical situations.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

  • More than 5 years of experience in Billing, Mediation or Charging platforms (primarily: Ericsson BSCS, Secondary: Ericsson OrderCare/CatalogManager, Mediation or Charging Systems would be a plus)

  • Good attitude & social skills

  • Ability to perform in a multi-tasking and team-oriented environment

  • Ability to show active participation within a team – be engaged

  • Ability to engage with the customer, deliver results & meet customer expectations

  • General "open source" knowledge, "hands on" approach and a "can do" attitude

  • Fluency in Greek.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Required European Union (EU) Work Permit/Residency.

Technical skills:

  • Strong Database knowledge (Oracle, PL/SQL)

  • Good knowledge on Operating Systems (HPUX, Redhat). VM knowledge (VMWare) would be a plus.

  • Shell scripting experience. Python and/or Groovy scripting languages would be a plus.

  • Java/JavaScript and the relevant ecosystems (tools and APIs) would be a plus.

  • Experience with technical trouble shooting

Optional skills:

  • Agile and devops methodologies

  • Cloud and containers concepts

  • Exposure to open source technologies

  • Good GSM and Telecom IT understanding
