Our Exciting Opportunity

The E2E Network Solutions unit in Aachen is looking for hardworking and motivated engineers that want to be part of a collaborative, diverse, and high-performance team dealing with ground-breaking technology. Besides working with the local team, you will also interact and collaborate with colleagues around the world.

As an E2E solutions developer you will grow mobile network competences across radio access, transport network, as well as packet core and cloud network components, thereby supporting advanced use cases and satisfying the needs of our mobile operator customers and their industry partners.

Our team is a front-runner in the technology areas of 5G, Industry 4.0, URLLC, network slicing, virtualization and cloud native, to name a few. Be part of this exciting and ground-breaking opportunity!

You will

  • Develop new or evolve existing network solutions in cooperation with experienced colleagues and in co-creation with customers and customer-facing organizations
  • Interact with other organizations and partners within Ericsson to place requirements on Ericsson portfolio and get valuable market and technology insights to drive solution work. This includes product management, customer units, Ericsson Research, etc.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and demos to strengthen Ericsson’s leadership in key technology areas and business-critical use cases
  • Grow your competences in the technical domain and share your knowledge with others

To be successful in the role you must have

  • An academic degree in Telecommunications or IT
  • Work experience in the industry or academia (ideally >5 years)
  • Diverse set of technology know-how in (some of) following areas:
    • 3GPP technologies (4G/5G), ideally including radio access (LTE/NR) and packet core
    • Virtualization and cloud native technologies, including Opensource initiatives
    • IP and networking
  • Good communication skills and be proficient in written and spoken English (German is a huge plus)
  • Motivation and ability to interact and collaborate with diverse and remote teams
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and create impact
  • Being self-driven, proactive, and innovative are key for success.
